Happy Tuesday Calvary Family!
Yes, that's right, this update is coming to you on Tuesday instead of our traditional Monday. There has been much going on behind the scenes which necessitated a slight delay in this message getting out to all of you.
Resuming In-Person Gatherings
The most important message we have for you this week is that we are looking at a TENTATIVE return to in-person, church services on Wednesday, June 3rd.
This is in response to Governor Gordon's message last week allowing churches to return to in-person gatherings of any size as long as strict social distancing measures are still in place. This will not be a simple feat, which is why your pastors and leaders are diligently working on the details of how to safely and excellently provide an in-person experience that also still ministers effectively to those choosing to continue to worship from home. It is important to note that this plan is subject to change so thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we do our best to navigate this new territory.
We have created a simple video outlining more about this plan which can be viewed above.
Small Groups Resuming/Continuing
With the Governor's increasing of gatherings up to 25 people, there are several small groups that are meeting:
- Men's Saturday Morning study (7am, Calvary Coffee Shop, Chris Heddins: 970-396-1273 )
- Men's Monday Morning study (6am, Perkins Restaurant, Kevin Poch: 421-2251 )
- Bob & Sharon Lucht's Tuesday evening home study (7:15pm, 430 Gardenia Ave, Bob: 220-1350)
If you have questions about these groups or other groups' meeting schedules, please contact the group leader or the church office (635-2977).
Church Office & Food Pantry Hours
Also, the church office has resumed normal office hours. We are now open Monday-Thursday from 9am-5pm. The food pantry has also returned to the hours of Monday, 9am-2pm, and Thursday 9am-4:30pm.
Email Updates Error
It came to our attention that some of you have not been receiving the last few email updates. This was due to an error in properly utilizing our database to distribute the emails. This has been fixed so everyone should now be receiving the updates. Our sincere apologies for not keeping everyone in the loop!
We pray you have a blessed week, walking in the faith and knowledge of Jesus. We appreciate your continued prayers for our church, our city, our state, and our nation, as we continue to navigate these unprecedented times.
If you need us, reach out. We are here to serve and minister to you!

Greetings Calvary Chapel Family,
It is the beginning of a new week, and we hope that you head into the days ahead with joy, hope, and the assurance that God loves you!
This weekend we celebrated two baptisms during our online service. We are continually grateful for the technology which makes it possible to still share these joyful events with you! If you missed tuning into this weekend service or need to catch up on any other services just click here.
And speaking of baptisms, we actually have another one this week! If you or someone you know would like to be baptized please let us know. Even in the midst of COVID we are still scheduling baptisms, one more way we are fulfilling our Discipleship Blueprint's focus area of "Knowing Jesus through Baptism." To schedule a baptism or to get more information click here.
Finally, we eagerly await the day when we will all be able to gather together again, but until then, we continue to respect Governor Gordon's request to maintain social distancing in gatherings of 10 people or less. We know the Governor will be holding another press conference Friday, May 15th, and we promise to keep you posted if anything changes.
We pray you have a blessed week, walking in the faith and knowledge of Jesus. We appreciate your continued prayers for our church, our city, our state, and our nation, as we continue to navigate these unprecedented times.
If you need us, reach out. We are here to serve and minister to you!

Welcome to May!
Back in March when this whole COVID journey really started, I'm sure few of us were imagining we'd still be enduring social distancing restrictions into the month of May! Well, even though this is still our reality we hope everyone is continuing to keep their eyes on the Lord, and maybe, just maybe you've finally been able to get a haircut at least. :)
Gathering Restrictions Update
Here at the church we continue to closely monitor the evolving guidance of Governor Gordon and other leaders. Currently, we are still respecting the standing gathering restriction of limiting in-person groups to 10 or less. If this changes know that we will provide timely communication outlining any new plans for resuming in-person gatherings. Thank you for your continued prayers for wisdom and insight for our pastors and leaders as they lead us through this situation.
Drive-Thru Prayer with Calvary South
This Sunday, May 10th, Calvary South will be hosting a Drive-Thru Prayer Event at 1217 S. Greeley Hwy, from 10am-1pm. Load up in the car and go receive encouragement and prayer from your brothers and sisters in Christ. If you have any questions contact Pastor Randy Golden.
Happy Mother's Day!
We would be remiss if we didn't take this opportunity to give a shout out to all of the mothers in our church family. You ladies are the glue that holds this world together through your love, devotion, prayers, encouragement, and selfless acts of service. We love and appreciate you more than you know! Be blessed this weekend as you are honored.
Final Tidbits
Be sure to join us this week for both our Wednesday evening and Sunday morning services. We are so blessed to be able to share that time together with you through worship and the Word. To view these services or past services click here. And finally, remember to reach out to us with any needs you may have. Our pastors and staff are here to help!
Stay encouraged this week knowing that you are loved and cared for by your church family and your Heavenly Father.

Happy Monday!
What a beautiful spring day we are enjoying today -- definitely a reminder of God's glory as our magnificent Creator. Hopefully, in the midst of all the recent challenges, you've been touched in a special way by your Creator. As we've seen in our on-going weekend study in Revelation, God continues to offer people the opportunity to be in relationship with Him even in the midst of chaos, tribulation, and trials. What a relevant and timely message for today! To view this weekend's service or other past services click here.
Gathering Restrictions Update
As conversations everywhere begin to center more and more on the topic of relaxing gathering restrictions, we want you to know that our staff is continually monitoring the guidance of our federal, state, and local leaders. Our desire is to formulate safe, practical, and timely plans for reintroducing in-person gatherings that ultimately minimize risk while also satisfying the desire to meet together once again. This may look a variety of ways and will likely involve a gradual increase in the number of people allowed to meet at one time. For example, small group Bible studies may be resuming before larger, in-person gatherings, etc.
As we navigate the rapidly evolving situation, we commit to keep everyone updated on the most current information and how this translates to resuming in-person fellowship opportunities. We eagerly look forward to seeing everyone again at some point!
Reach Out to Us
In the meantime, continue to reach out to us if you have needs. We continue to have resources available to help you and your family during this time. We are only a phone call, text, direct message, or email away. Our food pantry is generously stocked and is open Mondays and Thursdays from 9am-12pm.
As always, we are grateful to be a part of your church family. We pray you know that you are loved and cared for!

Best. Church Family. Ever.
Hello from the Pastors and Staff at Calvary Chapel Cheyenne! It's a new week, and we are grateful for another opportunity to walk in the good works God has prepared for us.
It was great to share time with everyone in our "living room" this weekend as we were encouraged in worship and the word. Thank you to everyone who shared your feedback and encouragement with us -- we truly appreciate it! If you haven't had a chance to catch this weekend's service click here to check it out.
Here are a few other tidbits for this week...
Thank You!
As a result of God's provision, last week our church family was able to help two local ministries with critical needs. Both LifeChoice Pregnancy Care Center and Grace Christian Academy received a generous financial gift from Calvary Chapel Cheyenne which will help them get through this extremely challenging time. THANK YOU for your faithful giving which helped make this possible. We are humbled by your generosity.
Children's Resources
Glennda, our Children's Ministry Director, has been faithfully working behind the scenes to minister to our families and children. For each service, there are various resources available on our website to help children engage with the respective teaching. These include activity sheets, coloring pages, and Discipleship Notes. To download these click here.
Calvary Knights Still Going Strong!
This family-centered, children's discipleship program is still happening via a private Facebook page where parents and children can share their progress with Glennda. Whether its sending videos of memorized Bible verses, sharing Bible reading progress, or telling her about their completed service projects, Glennda is keeping track of it all. When we get back together again, whoever has accomplished the most will be awarded 100 TOKENS!!! If you'd like to join the Calvary Knights program contact Glennda.
Let us help...
If you have needs right now please reach out to us. The church has a variety of ways to help:
- Food pantry -- open 9am-12pm, Monday & Thursday (or by appointment by calling 307-635-2977)
- Grocery delivery -- volunteers willing to deliver food to your home
- Financial assistance -- available to those who call Calvary Chapel Cheyenne home; contact Pastor Tom for more information
This Week's Services
Wednesday we will continue our study in the book of Exodus and Sunday we will be studying Revelation 11. To view either of these services click here.
Prayer Time
A Facebook Live event happening each Sunday evening at 6pm on our Facebook Page. This is a powerful and encouraging time of sharing requests and praying for one another. Hope to "see" you there!
We are praying eagerly for this crisis to pass so that we can all be together in-person again, but in the meantime, know that God has ordained this time for His plans and purposes. We'd love to hear what He is teaching you during this time of social distancing that maybe He hasn't been able to show you before. He is always at work!

Updated March 20th at 12:00am
Well, we’ve made it to Friday! It’s undoubtedly been an interesting and challenging week for most of us as we’ve navigated what our new “normal” is beginning to look like for the time being. Great news…God is still in control and He is gently leading us through this uncertain time. We pray that you are resolving to trust Him now more than ever so that you may rest in His comfort and care. During this time Jesus’ charge to us is still the same — BE DISCIPLES WHO MAKE DISCIPLES — and we are confident that we will all be found faithful to this mission.
As we head into the weekend and our Sunday online worship experience, there is some important information we need to pass onto everyone.
1. NEW WEB ADDRESS!!!
Here is some exciting news regarding Calvary Chapel Cheyenne’s website. As of today, March 20th, we have migrated to a new web address which will make it even easier to get to our website. We have been planning this change for awhile and realized now is as good a time as any to make the switch. So what will our new web address be? We are pleased to announce you will now find us on the web at:
This web address is much simpler to remember, and best of all, you will still be able to access all of the same resources like event sign-ups, live streaming, and Bible teachings. Everything on the website will still look the same, just the address will be different. When you access this new web address you may need to refresh your browser in order for it to load the first time. So, take a minute and update any bookmarks you have from our previous web address. This will ensure you can continue to directly access your favorite parts of our website. There are also now links right at the top of the homepage to watch service, connect with the staff, and give online.
2. WATCH LIVE: SUNDAY’S ONLINE SERVICE
This Sunday we will be gathering together online to worship the Lord and continue our study in the book of Revelation. Service begins at 9am and will be like a normal service with worship, announcements, communion, and as always, great teaching. We encourage you to be prepared to take communion from home by grabbing any type of “bread” and “juice” you have available (Pastor Shaun used Doritos and Dr. Pepper at a youth retreat once, so literally anything works!). Additionally, we’ve made available Children’s Ministry resources so families can engage with the service together. These downloadable resources and the live service may be accessed by clicking here:
Following the livestream, Sunday’s service will be uploaded for later viewing on this same page. Past video messages from Revelation are available in this location as well.
3. ONLINE GIVING
While we all will be experiencing the effects of this pandemic financially, in one way or another, we are asking that you prayerfully continue to give as the Lord leads. God’s provision is faithful in our lives, and giving will always be a way that we can worship Him with joy and thanksgiving. The easiest way to give right now is to utilize ONLINE GIVING through our website. If you’d still prefer to write checks those can be mailed to the church or brought into the office during our current business hours of 9am-12pm, Monday through Thursday.
4. STAY CONNECTED
In the midst of this "social distancing” we are all experiencing, we can still connect with one another! You are encouraged to engage with the church and with one another through email, calls/texts, our website, and our social media Facebook and Instagram accounts. Think about the people you regularly interact with on a Sunday morning, on Wednesday night, or in a ministry or small group and be purposeful about reaching out to them. To follow us on social media simply click on the icons below.
5. STAY INFORMED
If you someone you know is not currently receiving our email updates please direct them to the CONNECT page of our website. Here they can share their contact information which will be added to our database so that they will never miss any of our email communications. You can also use this link if you need to update any of your current information. This will greatly help us all stay connected and informed!
Whew…we realize that is a lot of information. Thank you for your time and attention, and know that we are committed to keeping everyone up to speed on how God is leading Calvary Chapel Cheyenne through this season of serving Him. As always, reach out to the pastors, elders, and staff at any time.
Be blessed this weekend and we’ll “see” you on Sunday!
In His Grip,
Pastors, Elders, and Staff

Updated March 16th at 4:45pm
In light of the rapidly unfolding events in the world around us, it has been decided that ALL Calvary Chapel Cheyenne services and events happening at the church are canceled from March 16th-March 22nd. This includes Wednesday and Sunday services. This decision comes as a result of today’s press conference where President Trump asked Americans to avoid social gatherings of more than 10 people in order to prevent the further spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Calvary Chapel Cheyenne has determined to comply with this request, however, there will still be opportunities to engage in worship and the Word through our online service experience. Service for Sunday, March 22nd, will be live streamed at 9am, with the service also being made available on our website for later viewing.
Additionally, the church office hours will be adjusted to Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-12:00pm effective immediately. Pastors will still be available to anyone who is in need of prayer, counsel, encouragement, communion, etc. Please feel free to reach out to us to communicate your needs.
Calvary Chapel Cheyenne is committed to ensuring the health and safety of our fellowship as well as that of our staff and volunteers. We are diligently monitoring this ever-changing situation, desiring to make the best decisions for each person in our church family.
We encourage each one of you to not forsake "the gathering together" of the body of Christ by worshipping with us online (individually or as small groups of 10 or less :), engaging in our social media community, and reaching out to one another through calls and texts. We still have a tremendous opportunity to be salt, light, and representations of Jesus to this world despite our inability to gather physically together.
God is faithful and we are trusting for His continued provision and direction.
Calvary Chapel Pastors & Staff
